Digital Radiographs

Digital radiography is the most advanced technique available to capture x-rays. High-quality images can be easily and quickly obtained. These images can be evaluated on a large flat-screen monitor and may be viewed in a variety of positions. Dental problems are easily detected and it is also easier for a patient to see and understand what is happening with their teeth. Additional benefits include less radiation exposure and no environmental wastes.

Intraoral Photos

A picture is worth a thousand words - especially in dentistry! Our dental team uses a small camera right inside your mouth to take highly magnified digital photos of your teeth. These photos can be displayed on a computer screen for both patient and doctor, and are invaluable in diagnosing and recording dental problems. Intra-oral photos also allow our patients to view what the dentist sees when evaluating your teeth.

Diagnodent Laser Cavity Detection

When it comes to tooth decay, the sooner a cavity is detected, the better! In its earliest stages, a cavity can be repaired much more easily, often without the need for anesthetic. A specialized laser, called a Diagnodent, may be used to detect cavities in the pits and grooves of teeth long before they could be found with traditional techniques. With this state-of-the-art instrument, our dental team is able to keep teeth healthy and natural with early intervention.

ViziLite® Plus Oral Cancer Screening

ViziLite® Plus uses technology that has been proven successful in identifying precancerous and cancerous abnormalities. ViziLite® Plus helps to identify oral lesions at their earliest stage of development. When premalignant lesions or early stage oral cancer is found, treatment is simpler, less invasive, and more than 90% successful.

Our skilled dental teaml recommends an annual ViziLite® Plus exam in conjunction with a routine visual exam. ViziLite® Plus increases the ability to identify, evaluate, and monitor abnormal areas that are difficult to see under conventional lighting.
