Abby, Dental Hygienist
With experience in both a general dental office and a specialty periodontal office, Abby has experience treating patients of all ages with varying degrees of treatment needs. She strives to provide the highest quality of care in a very gentle manner. Her goal is to help patients achieve their optimum oral health status.
Abby is passionate about helping the underprivileged and dedicates her time providing dental care and education locally as well as internationally with travels to Africa and Jamaica.
Abby relocated to Colorado in 2009. She is a Michigan native, completing the hygiene program in Lansing where she graduated in the top of her class. She then moved to Chicago where she worked for several years.
In her free time she enjoys exploring Colorado and doing anything outdoors.

This course reviews the newest infection control guidelines, new disease information and other relevant regulations. Recognize the importance of the CDC's infection control guidelines and the importance of standard precautions. Identify strategies that protect your patients.
You will review the available options and indications for using commercially available local antimicrobial therapies in the treatment of periodontal disease. The relative benefits and efficacies of each therapy will be described.
This course will provide an overview of oral cancer and the associated risk factors. Emphasis will be placed on techniques to ensure early detection.
This course will teach you how to discuss periodontal disease with your patients and treat your patients to help them to return to optimum health. You will learn how to perform bacterial testing, DNA testing and HPV testing. Learn how to work with local physicians to continue care beyond oral health.
You will review the paradigm shifts in periodontics that have led to a medical approach to this infectious disease process. Diagnostic testing to evaluate periodontal pathogens will be introduced. Treatment modalities such as ultra-sonics, systemic and localized antibiotics, lasers and calculus detection devices will be presented to facilitate a state of the art hygiene department.
This program discusses periodontal disease and its systemic effects. You will learn how to best treat periodontal disease with adjunctive therapy such as antimicrobials and antibiotics to help your patient attain optimal oral health.
You will learn the most advanced, cutting edge therapies available to treat your patients. Treatments discussed will focus on maximizing products available to ensure that your patients are provided the most comprehensive treatment possible.
